Manu Sharma to enjoy family outing; granted parole

Manu Sharma will be on parole from Nov 21st to 25th. The court has also ruled that he should not travel outside Karnal, Chandigrah and Ambala. He is also barred from visiting night clubs and pubs while on parole.
Sharma's earlier sojourn on parole in 2009 had seen him picking up a fight in a five star hotel in a midnight brawl after he went to a pub. The fact that this time around his parole plea was not opposed by the Delhi police had surprised all.
The granting of the parole was faced with severe criticism across all sections of society. Some views were that how can a criminal attend social functions with little regard to the sentiments of the victims family.
