TRS condemns Manmohan Singh comments on Telangana

New Delhi, Nov 13: Pro-Telangana leader KT Rama Rao on Sunday (today) lashed out on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh comments on Telangana. Condemning Manmohan Singh's comments favouring consensus on the Telangana issue, TRS said the centre has refused to see the truth and democratic aspirations of the people of Telangana.

"We fully condemn the Prime Minister's comments. This is totally unfair. They refuse to see the truth and democratic aspirations of the people," said Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA and party President K Chandrasekhar Rao's son K T Rama Rao.

Prime Minister on his way back to India on Saturday (Nov 12) night from SAARC Summit had said that that a decision about the separate statehood for Telangana would be taken after evolving a consensus from all concerned so that it did not create trouble in other regions.

Meanwhlie, Supreme Court on Friday (Nov 11) dismissed a plea to urge centre to form a seperate state for Telangana saying it was "too premature" and wanted response from the Andhra Pradesh government and Telangana Rashtra Samiti over concerns that normal life has been disrupted due to the Telangana general strike.
