BSY probe: Digvijay takes dig at Advani

Digvijay Singh
New Delhi, Nov 12: Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Saturday questioned BJP senior leader LK Advani over the transfer of Lokayukta official, who was probing the corruption cases against BS Yeddyurappa.

"I would like to ask Advaniji if he would tell the Karnataka chief minister to cancel the transfer order of the official probing corruption charges against Yeddyurappa," said Singh.

Digvijay claimed that the state government has transferred the case to someone who is close to Yeddyurappa.

Earlier on Saturday, even former Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde voiced similar concern over the transfer of official. He accused state government of helping Yeddyurappa out of the case by bringing someone close to ex-CM to probe and to 'sabotage' the ongoing investigation. Additional director general of police (ADGP), Jeevan Kumar V Gaonkar, was abruptly issued a transfer order by ruling BJP government in Karnataka.

The state government had brought Satyanarayana Rao HN, ADGP (crimes and technical services) in place of Gaonkar.
