2G Scam: No relief for Kani, CBI to respond on Dec 1

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court also issued a notice the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to give respond on the bail plea of Kanimozhi by Dec 1.
DMK MP Kanimozhi, who have moved the High Court against a special CBI court order denying her bail on Nov 3. Kanimozhi has sought bail on grounds of being a woman and a mother.
Meanwhile, denying bail to Kanimozhi, the court had also rejected her plea for it on grounds of being a woman, saying that she "belongs to upper echelons of society and is also a member of Parliament" and cannot be suffering on account of being a woman.
Kanimozhi has been lodged in Tihar Jail since on May 20. She was denied bail on Nov 3 by the trial court despite CBI not objecting to pleas for bail by her .
