Economic Blockade: BJP leaders to visit Manipur today

New Delhi, Nov 8: Senior BJP leaders on Tuesday (today) will leave for Manipur to check the ongoing crisis in the state due to economic blockade.

BJP leaders Yashwant Sinha, Prakash Javadekar and Vinay Sahasrabuddhe will meet the local people and interact with them on the crisis. The leaders will spend three days in the state.

The economic blockade has entered the 100th day and the blockade has been going on for more than three months. Fuel crisis and the surge in the prices of essential commodities have hit the state badly. On Saturday, the state government has released its last stock of fuel supply.

Close to 100 trucks are stranded at national highway because of a broken bridge and other highways are blocked by the United Naga council supporters.
