'I'm a political bachelor and don't need any alliance'
Attending the launch of a matrimonial site at a suburban hotel on Monday evening, Raj Thackeray said, "Politically I am a bachelor since nobody wants to have an alliance with me unlike some others who need two partners. There is no point in registering my name anywhere."
Shiv Sena has formed an alliance with RPI apart from BJP. Raj Thackeray expressed his anger against Shiv Sena with the statement.
Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, who was also present at the function expressed his views about the site saying, "After coming here, I was told about the matrimony site launch. Anyway, the site is of no use to me or Raj. May be our children can benefit from it."
Both Ministers, however, were unaware of each others presence at the launch of "Saathiya". MNS spokesman Shirish Parkar and Sangeet Date, the son of veteran singer Arun Date launched the site.
Thackeray was quoted as saying, "I asked Sangeet Date why a good Marathi name was not found for the website. He told me that the site was global. I want to tell him that they should focus on getting Marathi girls and boys married in good families first."
