One year delay in Koodankulam nuclear plant's work

Tamil Nadu
Chennai, Nov 7: The controversial Koodankulam plant's work will be delayed by one year. This has been reported after the visit of former President APJ Abdul Kalam to the plant, claimed sources.

Kalam had assured the people that the nuclear plant was completely safe, but it hasn't changed the people's point of view. The local agitation has upset the entire project. Previously, the plant's first unit was scheduled to be commissioned in Dec. But now, the Rs 13600 crore Indo-Russian project will be completed next year.
