Anna on image clean-up drive; Team Anna rejig on cards

New Delhi, Nov 7: With Team Anna having to face various allegations, Anna Hazare is on a major image clean-up drive. In order to do so, Anna has decided to approach retired judges to be part of a committee to probe the allegations on Team Anna members. Anna commented, "Those who are scared that their political careers will be jeopardised with the Lokpal, are maligning Team Anna."

On the restructuring of the Team, Anna said, "That the restructured team will include all sections of society, including members from religious minorities."

Various financial irregularity charges haunted key Team Anna members like Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal. With Kiran Bedi under the scanner on the inflated travel bills, Arvind Kejriwal had faced allegations of diverting funds to his trust. The task of seeking help from retired judges to be part of the committee has been entrusted with Prasanth Bhushan who is a Supreme Court lawyer himself.

The decision for setting up of the committee was made during a meeting at Anna's village in Ralegan Siddhi. With Anna Hazare alleging that there is conspiracy at play to malign Team Anna's image, the constitution of an ombudsman is to probe allegations against the anti-corruption members headed by Anna Hazare. This is sure to be an effort to ensure the Team's credibility and image is not tarnished.

The committee that will include the retired judges will probe into all allegations on all possible Team Anna members who are embroiled in controversy.
