T: Cong man warned of slipping into coma, forced to end fast

He was forced to quit his fast after his condition deteriorated on the sixth day of his fast. He was lifted by the police from the venue of his fast-Nalgonda town and then shifted to a government hospital. Despite attempts to stop the police, the cops dispersed Reddy's supporters.
Venkat Reddy had earlier refused to receive treatment but was forced to take medicines and shifted to the intensive care unit.
Doctors had earlier warned that if the Congress leader continued his fast then there was a possibility of him slipping into coma. Reports reveal that Reddy was initially suffering with kidney infection and lung infection.
Venkat Reddy had resigned as the state minister in Oct to state protest against the delay in the formation of a seperate Telangana.
