Pune: Man rapes married collegue, films, circulates MMS

Pune, Nov 6: A 27-year-old man was arrested by the Loni Kalbhor police for allegedy raping and circulating the MMS clip of the entire act.

"In September, the company paid the victim her dues of around Rs 40,000. To celebrate this, she had given a party to all her colleagues. But the accused had not attended the party," said Suhas Garud, Loni Kalbhor police station.

He further said that the accused and the victim were employees of a private company in Chakan.

He also said that the victim was asked for a seperate party by the accused and had called her to a nearby restaurant near Vadkinala on Sep 26.

"Threatening her with a sharp weapon, he raped her at a nearby lodge. He also filmed the act on his cellphone and threatened her that he would circulate it," said Garud.

"When the victim came to know that the video clip had already been circulated in the company, she came to the police station with her husband and lodged a complaint," said Garud adding that the accused was blackmailed and extorted Rs 11,000 from.

The accused has been arrested and sent to the judicial custody till Nov 8 by the police.
