New Delhi, Nov 6:- Delhi police is searching the Jamia Millia's professor who was accused to torture a 10-year-old domestic help at his house.

Mohammed Ghazi Shahnawaz, 42, is escaping for the last two-and-a-half months. Shahnawaz had applied for the anticipatory bail but was rejected. The boy's father allowed him to escape.

The boy was recovered by a NGO from the Mathura Road. He was unable to tell the police where he worked and who tortured him.

On Friday, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) issued an order to arrest the accused professor. The boy gave the details of his house. He told the police that he belonged from Bihar's Auraiya district and he was sent to work at the professor's house by his father.

“He said his employer used to torture him and he even had burn marks on his body," said a senior police officer.

The officer was quoted as saying, “In our investigation, we found that Shahnawaz"s in-laws live in Auraiya and they knew the boy"s father. He was brought here in July and according to his statement, his employer used to beat him even for small things."

Delhi cops brought the boy's father to Delhi. The officer added that the father wasn"t very cooperative and didn"t give much information. We scanned his cellphone details and found that he was in touch with a professor of Jamia.
