Massive accident in Kashmir: 11 killed, many injured

Ladakh, Nov 5: A massive road accident near Kargil in Ladakh region in Jammu Kashmir left many people dead and several injured on Friday, Nov 4.

At least 11 people were killed and 25 injured in the accident when a bus driver lost control and rolled down a deep gorge at Panzilla in the cold Ladakh region.

A police official informed, "Eleven passengers were killed and 25 others wounded, four of them critically when a bus coming to Kargil town from Zanskar went out of the driver's control and rolled down a deep gorge at Panzilla pass yesterday night (Friday)."

Continuing his statement, the police official said, "The four critically injured passengers are being shifted to summer capital Srinagar in a helicopter for specialised treatment."

Here it can be mentioned that Srinagar-Leh highway which connects Ladkah region of the state with rest of the country has been blocked over heavy snow-fall.
