Godhra riot witness & Congress worker murdered in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Nov 5: Nadeem Sayyed, who was a witness of Godhra riot 2002 and also a Congress worker, has been murdered in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Saturday, Nov 5.

Nadeem, a resident of Johapura near Ahmedabad, was declared "brought dead" at hospital. According to sources, Nadeem was attacked and was stabbed by some unknown assailants on Saturday morning near his place in Johapura.

According to sources, Nadeem had filed several Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Gujarat High Court. The PILs reportedly were related to sanitation issues at his place (Johrapura) and also had filed police complaints against many political leaders.

Nadeem had faced such attacks earlier over filing PILs in the High Court of the state.
