Varun Gandhi files RTI on MPs with Swiss Bank accounts

New Delhi, Nov 4: Varun Gandhi, BJP leader has filed an RTI against three MPs seeking details on their bank accounts in HSBC Geneva after their names figured in the list of those having secret bank accounts.

Varun further demanded that the government disclose the identities of the three MPs who have allegedly hoarded black money in their foreign accounts.

The BJP MP from Pilibhit had posted about his move on Twitter.

"Filed RTI application as promised. Trust it will lead to exposure of rich and powerful harbouring illegal funds abroad," Varun tweeted.

Varun in his previous tweet had sought punishment against these MPs adding that government nationalise illegal wealth.

"Who are the 3 MPs with illegal foreign assets? Not enough to tax them. Government must announce punitive action and nationalization policy for illegal wealth abroad," he had tweeted earlier.
