Cash-for-votes: Court allows Amar Singh to visit Singapore

New Delhi, Nov 3: A Delhi court on Thursday granted permission for the 2008 cash-for-votes scam accused Amar Singh to travel to Singapore for his kidney treatment.

Amar Singh was granted permission by the Tis Hazari court to visit Singapore from November 8-30. He was asked to furnish a surety bond of Rs 5 lakh by the court.

Amar Singh had moved an application to Special Judge Sangita Dhingra Sehgal, in which he wrote that he had undergone a kidney transplant from Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore and needs regular check-up.
