Jessica Lal's killer asks for parole to attend bro's wedding

New Delhi, Nov 2: Manu Sharma, who was convicted in Jessica Lal murder case, moved the Delhi High Court asking permission to attend his brother's marriage. Sharma on Wednesday, Nov 2 asked for parole to celebrate his brother's marriage ceremony.

"He need not attend all functions," said the judge when Sharma asked for parole to attend the function between Nov 10 to 21.

After the Delhi High Court found Sharma as the guilty in Jessica's murder case, he has been lodged in jail since Dec 2006.

Later the Supreme Court also reiterated the same verdict of life imprisonment which was bestowed by the high court. Jessica was killed over refusing to serve Sharma a drink at a restaurant where she was working as a celebrity bartender.
