Dera chief in trouble for flaunting 6 cars with same number

Jaipur, Nov 2: Little did Dera Sacha Sauda chief Baba Ram Rahim foresee that he might get into trouble for flaunting his fancy fleet of cars. No, he did not get into trouble for posessing the cars, but for the fact that the fleet of cars all had the same registration number. The Dera chief was caught in the controversy after he arrived at a function in Jaipur with six cars all bearing the registration number (DL 5CB 3672).

The common factor did not end there, with the chief making the dramatic entry with six cars with the same make and colour. Rahim's supporters who slammed the controversy said that the similar looking cars were actually meant to camouflage the Dera Chief's vehicle when he travels.

In spite of this, the spiritual guru's cavalcade of multiple cars with the same registration number is illegal under the law of the land. Traffic SP Rohit Mahajan has been quoted as saying, "We must see if the competent authority has given permission... He is a high security risk person. If he had a valid permission from the ministry of home affairs, of which I have no knowledge, then he can travel. This will be revealed after investigation."

Rahim had to suffer attacks in the past and his getting into the car has become an exercise in itself so as to hide the identity of the car he is travelling. The PR officer of the organization, Dera Sacha Sauda stated, "Guruji has been attacked with RDX... Attack of Pillokhedemy had happened. Dr Pawan was himself there in that vehicle. Apart from that, attack happened in Kukhyanwaali. Ten times consignments of RDX have been caught in Punjab. Anti-national forces, terrorists sitting in Pakistan attack Guruji."
