Telangana agitators to get separate state after eid?

New Delhi, Oct 31: Union Home Minister P Chidambaram said that the centre will take decision over the Telangana issue only after after the Eid-ul-Zuha festival.

He also said that Ghulam Nabi Azad, Congress in-charge of Andhra Pradesh had conveyed the message to different groups that no movement was possible during the festive season.

Eid is expected to be on Nov 7. The step comes after three Congress leaders quit the party and joined the Telangana Rashtriya Samithi (TRS).

The Congress Core Committee had earlier said that centre needs more time to take a final decision on Telangana statehood issue and the whole process of discussion could stretch for another two months probably up to Jan 2012.
