Bangalore, Oct 30: Senior BJP leader, LK Advani's Jan Chetana Yatra on Sunday, Oct 30 entered Karnataka - the sole South Indian state where the party is in power now. However, it seems that it could be the most toughest and most challenging phase of the yatra as several BJP ministers either are behind bar or have been booked in corruption charges.

Advani's yatra, which was started to create awareness among people about corruption in the nation, might face multiple hurdles in the state as his own party leaders have been booked in different corruption, forgery cases.

A long list of BJP leaders including former Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa seems to give Advani a bumpy journey in Karnataka. BSY was arrested over land denotification cases and is currently in Parappana Agrahara jail in Bangalore. Meanwhile, BJP MLA, Y Sampangi on Oct 28 was sent to jail.

Continuing the list, Home Minister, R Ashoka Irani has also been booked in land denotification case. SN Krishnaiah Setty, who was named as a co-accused with Yeddyurappa is also behind bar. Another former BJP minister, Katta Subramanya Naidu is also in judicial custody.

Advani is expected to address a public meeting at the National College Grounds in the Garden City later in the evening. Before entering Goa, Advani's yatra has been scheduled to travel Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada on Oct 31 and Nov 1.
