Irony: Yeddyurappa's accuser Basha booked in fraud case

Bangalore, Oct 30: Karnataka witnessed a mere irony when senior advocate Sirajin Basha has been booked under forgery and fraud case. Basha was the "whistle-blower" who had lodged 15 complaints against former Chief Minister of the state, BS Yeddyurappa.

Bangalore police booked Basha for allegedly submitting fabricated evidence (Section 193 of IPC) and forging records (Section 466).

Following a complaint by Gajendra Perumal, a resident of Vibhutipura near Marathahalli, the sixth additional chief metropolitan magistrate ordered police to file fraud cases against Basha.

Here it van be recalled that based on Basha's complaints, Yeddyurappa was arrested on Oct 15 in land denotification cases. The former CM has been lodged in Bangalore's Parappana Agrahara jail.
