Five-zone security for F1 Grand Prix starting today

Noida, Oct 27: Authorities have formed five zones for providing security during the three-day Formula One Grand Prix, beginning tomorrow (Oct 28). Gautam Buddha Nagar SSP Jyoti Narayan held meetings with police and administration personnel and formed five zones as part of the security arrangements, police said.

Over one lakh visitors are expected to arrive here to watch India's first-ever Grand Prix. Police and Provisional Armed Force personnel have been deputed on the entire route leading to the Buddh International Circuit, they said, adding a rehearsal of security arrangements was conducted today.

Five Additional SPs, 21 Deputy SPs, 19 SHOs, 423 Sub Inspectors along with Bomb Disposal squads, ATS teams and PAC company, have been deployed for the event, police said.

"Force has been deployed for traffic management, parking management, spectator management, paddock management, perimeter management, law and order management and residential and cultural management," Narayan said.
