Television actor Ronit Roy arrested by Mumbai police

Mumbai, Oct 27: Television star Ronit Roy has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for negligent and rash driving this morning.

Three people have been reported to be seriously injured by the actor's car in the hit-and-run case.

One of the victims involved in the accident is a 56-year-old woman who is currently hospitalised in Andheri.

The actor however, said that he was not under the influence of alcohol while driving and was on his way back home when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, the police are awaiting the medical reports and the actor has been taken to the hospital for an alcohol test.

The incident took place in Amboli area of Suburban Mumbai at 7 am. The actor will be produced at the Bandra Court in the case.
