After Darshan another Sandalwood actor accused of harrasment

Bangalore, Oct 27: Sandalwood actor Prasanth has been absconding after a case of dowry harassment was slapped against him by his wife Shashirekha.

A case was registered against him at the Halasuru Gate Women's Police Station in Sept, however his wife claimed that the police failed to help her in this regard.

Shashirekha, on Oct 24 came to know that her husband lived with another woman in Dollars Colony. She later took him to the Sanjaynagar Police Station but the actor escaped after jumping off the compound wall of the police station.

"He used to beat me up severely earlier, but last month he crossed the line. That is why I approached the Halasuru Gate Women's Police cell. Since then, he left home and was on the run. I came to know that he has been staying in Dollars Colony with another woman," said Shashirekha.

Shashirekha further said that despite claims made by her, the cops at the Sanjaynagar Police Station did not listen to her and failed to arrest Prasanth. She later approached Jyotiprakash Mirji, Police commissioner and requested him to look into the matter. The victim has filed a complaint with the police commissioner's office against the Sanjaynagar Police for helping her husband flee.

However, sources reveal that the couple never came to the Police Station. The matter is under probe now.

Prashanth, the absconding actor has been married to Shashirekha for the past eight years and have a five-year-old kid.

Earlier, Sandalwood star Darshan was accused by his wife of domestic violence and was lodged at the Parappana Agrahara jail for quite sometime before he was granted conditional bail.
