Flesh trade rackets busted,12 minors, married woman rescued

Mumbai, Oct 27: Twenty four girls, including 12 minors and a 20-year-old married woman from Bangalore have been rescued from a flesh trade racket, said police.

The police acting on a tip off laid a trap to arrest the culprits in suburban Dahisar on Oct 25 and rescued 20 girls, along with 12 minors and arrested 15 pimps, that included a woman, said Vasant Dhobale, Assistant Police Commissioner, Social Service Branch.

In another incident, a 20-year-old married woman from Bangalore was rescued by the police after she was kidnapped and brought to Mumbai from Bangalore on Oct 7, said the police.

Sunita Pujari, another pimp was also arrested by the police, said Dhobale.
