Jayaprada thanks people and court for bail to Amar

New Delhi, Oct 24: Film actor-turned-MP Jayaprada on Monday expressed her happiness at bail granted to Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh in the cash-for-vote scam, thanking people and the court for the order.

"I thank people of this nation and honourable court also" she told Times Now after the Delhi High Court granted bail to Singh.

High Court granted bail to former Samajwadi leader in the 2008 cash-for-vote case on humantarian grounds in view of his critical condition. Coming to the defence of Singh, the Rampur MP said, "I am very confident that he can never commit any mistake. He has all the time fought for somebody or the other for some reasons but never out of selfishness. But nobody supported him even those who are near him."

"Today also he had to fight alone for his case. His belief and faith in court has been proved."
