Bareilly: Married woman gangraped

Bareilly, Oct 25: A 40-year-old woman was allegedly raped by three men in Bhai Rampur village, Uttar Pradesh on Oct 22.

The women in her police complaint said that three people raped her and killed her daughter after entering her house.

The woman said that her neighbour, Naresh on the pretext of repairing her shop knocked on her door to get a hammer. After opening the door, the three men forced their way into the house and raped her. On hearing her screams her daughter woke up and was stabbed to death by the trio after she tried to save her mother, said police adding that the men fled after the incident and are absconding since then.

"According to the post-mortem report, the girl was murdered with a sharp-edged weapon and bruises were also present on her stomach. We have started investigation into the matter," said the police.

Meanwhile, one of the accused in the crime, Jaleel Ahmed, husband of the village pradhan sent a letter to the official saying that a political conspiracy was plotted against him by his rivals.

The father of the deceased who works in Delhi arrived in the village after the incident and maintained silence over the whole issue.
