Will BSY's Diwali wish come true? Bail Plea in court today
His counsel has sought a three-day bail for Yeddyurappa ahead of the festival of lights – Diwali. His earlier bail plea was rejected in court after the court opined that he might influence witnesses.
With BSY's Diwali plans all set for a show-down, it remains to be seen if Yeddyurappa will be granted bail after he was arrested on Oct 15 and sent to judicial custody. The special Lokayukta court had extended his custody till Nov 3.
His hospital-hopping exercise had attracted severe criticism from all quarters with some of them calling it a farcical attempt to escape jail. He was shifted to hospital after a few hours he got into jail on Oct 16 complaining of chest pain. He was again shifted to hospital on Wednesday after he was discharged from another hospital.
Yeddyurappa, hurt after the criticisms on his hospital stay chose to reject all the medical treatment after he was hurt with Advani's comments on the corruption in the BJP. Yeddyurappa also stated that this was the primary reason for continuing his treatment in the hospital in jail.
