BS Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, Oct 24: Karnataka High Court on Monday, Oct 24 adjourned bail plea of BS Yeddyurappa which confirmed that there will be no Diwali celebration for the former minister.

Earlier on the same day, Yeddyurappa withdrew the interim bail plea and applied for regular bail. Currently the former Karnataka CM has been lodged in Bangalore's Parappana Agrahara jail. Earlier, Yeddyurappa's counsel had sought interim bail for three days so that the former CM could celebrate Diwali with his family members.

Yeddyurappa was arrested on Oct 15 and was sent to judicial custody over his alleged role in two land denotification cases. His hospital-hopping exercise had attracted severe criticism from all quarters with some of them calling it a farcical attempt to escape jail. He was sent to judicial custody on Oct 16 and after a few hours, he was shifted to hospital on complaint of chest pain. He was again shifted to hospital on Wednesday after he was discharged from another hospital.
