Chopper:Pak surprises all, releases detained Indian army men

Kargil, Oct 23: Pakistan surprised many with their decision to release all the four Indian army officials who were detained after forcefully landing at the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).

Within five hours after their detention, the four Indian army personnel returned back to Kargil on Sunday, Oct 23, however, they have been grilled by the Pakistani officials.

Indian authorities earlier had demanded to release its army men and also claimed that the chopper landed at POK over bad weather and it was not a deliberate intrusion.

An Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopter was reportedly forced to land at Skardu at for allegedly violating the Line of Control (LOC) ceasefire.

The Cheetah helicopter of the Army Aviation was flying from Leh to Kargil. According to sources, the chopper was gone missing from Sunday (Oct 23) morning due to bad weather.

Meanwhile, at around 1 pm, Pakistani authorities informed Indian Air Force (IAF) about the four persons detentions.
