Ramdev goes Anna way, asks people to 'teach Cong a lesson'

Etah, Oct 22: Baba Ramdev urged people not to vote for Congress and asked them to "teach Congress a lesson" in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls owing to the party's "failure" in bringing back all the black money stashed away abroad.

"Neither the Congress is willing to bring back the black money stashed away in foreign banks, nor is it willing to reveal the names of those Indian nationals who have accumulated ill-gotten cash abroad.

"People should teach a lesson to Congress by not voting for the party candidates in upcoming Assembly polls in UP," said Baba Ramdev addressing a gathering at his yoga camp.

He further said that the defeat of the party at the recent Hisar By-polls proved that people were against the party and showed their "anger and frustration".

Talking about the police crackdown at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan against his campaign, he called the whole episode "very unfortunate" and "shameful" and criticised Congress.

Baba Ramdev further said that AICC General Secretary's repeated visits to Uttar Pradesh would yield no result.

"Rahul should first clarify his stand on the issue of corruption and black money and then ask for votes," Ramdev added.
