2G: All 17 accused charged with criminal breach of trust

New Delhi, Oct 22: The special CBI court has charged all the 17 accused in the 2G spectrum scam under the criminal breach of trust.

According to reports, if the accused are charged they could face up to 7 years of imprisonment. Other charges against the accused are cheating, criminal conspiracy and taking bribe.

Section 409 was also pressed against former telecom secretary Siddhartha Behura and former private secretary R K Chandolia.

Court also allowed CBI's fresh plea to invoke charge of criminal breach of trust against Raja and two other public servants in the case.

Reports also reveal that Telecom companies Reliance Telecom Ltd, Swan Telecom and Unitech Wireless have been charged with criminal conspiracy and abatement in the case.

Meanwhile, the DMK has said that they will fight the case in court adding that Kanimozhi should get bail.
