Google Doodle honours Mary Blair on her birth anniversary

The doodle features a colouful amalgamation of colourful cube-like art that also shows a girl engrossed in drawing art reminiscent of Blair herself. Mary Blair, known for her unusual style of art attracted animation giant Walt Disney, who welcomed her to work with them.
Blair's art also finds place in Walt Disney's movies in 1940's and 50's.
Mary Balir was born on Oct 21, 1911 in McAlester, Oklahoma. During her illustrious career, she gained many achievements including being named as the first woman to be honoured as a Disney Legend in 1991. Blair died of cerebral haemorrhage on July 26, 1978.
Google comes up with the timely doodles honouring artists, musicians and other famous personalities. Google Doodles have become so popular for their fun, interactive nature and never fails to impress users. They have also celebrated news events, civic milestones, birthdays, death anniversaries and dates of historic importance with equal fanfare.
