Rahul Gandhi not allowed to enter into his own constituency

Amethi, Oct 20: Rahul Gandhi witnessed a massive protest while his convoy was about enter into his own constituency - Amethi on Thursday, Oct 20. Angry mob stopped Rahul's convoy from entering the constituency demanding poll tickets only for the non-corrupt candidates.

Uttar Pradesh, which is gradually getting ready for its upcoming assembly poll, will hold the election in 2012. Protesters gheraoed Rahul and his convoy and started shouting slogans demanding tickets for "clean" people in the areas where tickets are yet to be distributed.

Congress' general secretary, Rahul Gandhi was on his one-day visit to the region. It was reported that he would visit and inspect the status of the schemes of the Central government.
