Kejriwal shoe-attacker dismissed from job

Kejriwal Shoe Attacker
Lucknow, Oct 20: Jitender Pathak, who attacked team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal with a slipper at a public gathering on Oct 18 has been sacked from his job at a private construction company.

The company has dismissed Pathak taking into account his aggressive and violent nature, said Ravindra Singh, chairman of the city-based Ansh Project Service. Pathak was working as a supervisor with the company.

Pathak was employed by the company a few months ago. Singh said that the company did not notice Jitendra's involvement in any kind of indiscipline during his short stint in the company.

"As the company doesn't want to have such a controversial employee, we have served him a termination letter and what he did with Kejriwal is shocking and surprising," the chairman added.

Police released Pathak on Oct 19 through a bail bond. A native of Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district, Pathak has been residing in Lucknow for several years.
