Sikh group lodges criminal complaint against Big B

New York, Oct 19: A criminal complaint has been lodged against megastar Amitabh Bachchan by a US-based Sikh human rights group for his alleged role in stirring up and abetting the 1984 Sikh riots.

The complaint was filed with with Christopher Craigie, Director Commonwealth Public Prosecutions, Australia by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).

Under the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the Australian court can have authority over cases that involves crimes against humanity regardless of whether the offence was committed in Australia or not.

Amitabh Bachchan, who is to receive an honorary doctorate at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane on Oct 19, is currently in Sydney shooting for 'The Great Gatsby' that co-stars Titanic actor Leonardo Di Caprio.
