Police-local clash kills 6 people; Bihar on fire

Siwan/Bihar, Oct 19: Six people have been killed and many were left injured during a violent clash between police and local people at Siwan in Bihar on Wednesday, Oct 19.

Initial reports claimed that police started open fire on the people. However, police officials rejected the reports that stating the cops did not fire on the local people.

Officiating district magistrate, Arvind Tiwar, while describing the situation, informed that local people allegedly assaulted a woman. People accused the woman as a child lifter.

It has been reported that when police tried to rescue the woman, people started protesting and the deadly clash broke out.

The situation at the region was tense but was under control, informed police official. All injured people have been admitted to a near by hospital while three policemen were referred to Patna Medical College Hospital.
