Bhanwari Devi case: CBI suspects murder, body burnt

According to sources, the CBI was working on all possible angles of the auxiliary nurse's disappearance and have got some indication that her body might have been burnt in some limestone quarry.
The 36-year-old auxiliary nurse midwife who was posted at a sub-center in Jaliwada village went missing on Sep 1.
Amarchand, Bhanwari Devi's husband believed that Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna and his associates were behind the abduction of his wife. Maderna was dismissed from his post following the allegations.
A team of CBI officials are gathering all evidences of Bhanwari Devi's presence at places she had been to before her abduction in a bid to build a chain of forensic evidence.
The CBI has so far interrogated Amarchand in the case and is also looking into how the auxiliary nurse managed to live a lavish lifestyle and what was the source of money for Bhanwari Devi.
Bhanwari Devi's name surfaced in the media after a CD showed her in a compromising position with an MLA and minister Maderna.
A cash reward of Rs 4,000 was announced by the Jodhpur police regarding any information about the missing nurse.
Meanwhile, the CBI will quiz the ousted minister Maderna today in connection with the case.
