UP: Mayawati sacks bureaucrat for writing against govt?

Mayawati
Uttar Pradesh, Oct 18: Never ending trouble keeps mounting for Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati after she was alleged of sacking a bureaucrat for drawing flaws in the Master Plan of the Yamuna Expressway Authority.

Promilla Shankar was suspended for 8 days after she wrote to the centre against the UP government and pointed out flaws in the master plan of the Yamuna Expressway Authority.

"There was pressure on me to approve Master Plan of Yamuna Expressway Authority which violated Regional Plan 2001-2021 guidelines," wrote the sacked Bureaucrat.

"Authority's Master Plan violates NCR Plan 2021 & urbanisation plan would mean acquiring agricultural land under emergency clause which will lead to unrest," read her letter.

Meanwhile, Mayawati recently was heavily criticised for inaugurating a 685 crore dalit memorial park.

The 36-acre park houses the statues of BR Ambedkar, Kanshi Ram apart from Mayawati's own statue. The park also has statues of 20 elephants, the symbol of BSP each costing Rs 70 lakh.
