K'taka: How did Yeddyurappa spoil Advani's yatra from jail?

LK Advani and BS Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, Oct 18: It seems that former Karnataka Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa spoilt the steam of senior BJP leader, LK Advani's nation-wide yatra over his (Yeddyurappa's) arrest just ahead of Advani's visit to the state.

Advani, who has been targetting Congress and UPA government over several corruption charges, skipped two press conferences after Yeddyurappa's arrest over two land denotification charges on Oct 15.

The party cancelled Advani's two meetings with media in Hoshangabad and Chhindwara (both in Madhya Pradesh). Sources claimed that Advani did not want to comment on Yeddyurappa's arrest. Sources also informed that he (Advani) would rather prefer to maintain silence on the issue.

Advani is expected to reach Bangalore on Oct 30 and Udupi and Mangalore on Oct 31. However, breaking his silence on the issue, Advani recently said, "The party had cautioned Yeddyurappa on the developments." [Watch Advani rath yatra: Video route map and other details]

Meanwhile, the bail plea of Yeddyurappa has been adjourned till Thursday, Oct 20. He (BSY) was admitted to the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore after he complained of "chest pain" and is likely to be discharged by the evening of Tuesday.
