BS Yeddyurappa's bail plea adjourned till Oct 20
Yeddyurappa was arrested by the Karnataka Lokyukta in a land denotification scam on Saturday. He filed for a bail petition in the High Court on the grounds of his ill health.
Yeddyurappa was admitted to the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore after he complained of "chest pain" and is likely to be discharged today, said doctors.
The BJP, which was shell shocked after his arrest, said that it would fight his case legally adding that the party would continue to support him.
His arrest is also seen as a huge setback to BJP leader LK Advani's Jan Chetna Yatra which aims to focus at the issues of corruption and black money. But many continue to extend their support to the tainted minister despite his name being indicted in corruption cases.
"BSY is our political father. It is very painful to see him in this condition. We pray to the goddesses to give him good health - that is most important - that is the only prayer that we can have," said S Ramadas, Education Minister, Karnataka.
Meanwhile, several minister's along with the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sadananda Gowda rushed to visit the ill leader at the hospital.
