Further hearing of complaint against BSY postponed to Oct 29

Bangalore, Oct 17: Lokayukta Special Court Judge N K Sudhindra Rao today (Oct 17) adjourned to October 29 further hearing of a private complaint against former Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his family members relating to illegal denotifcation of government land on which the court had ordered an investigation by Lokayukta police.

The Lokayukta police has already submitted its report to the court on its investigation conducted under Cr.PC Section 202, under which the court has ordered the probe.

In the complaint filed by city-based advocate Sirajin Basha, Yeddyurappa and five others including his sons and son-in-law were accused of irregularities in denotifying government land in Rachenahalli in Bangalore South taluk which caused an estimated loss of about Rs 40 crore to the state exchequer.

This is the first complaint out of the five filed by Basha on which the court took cognisance and ordered investigation by Lokayukta police.
