Anna caught in corruption scandal; issued notice by SC

New Delhi, Oct 17: This was one allegation that Anna Hazare and team were not expecting, when Anna Hazare himself was issued a Supreme Court notice for financial irregularities involving his trust, the Hind Swaraj Trust.

Apart from Anna Hazare, notices were issued to the Central Government, CBI and state government in this regard. Anna Hazare was earlier cleared off from the fund misappropriation case of the trust by a local court in Jul 2011.

With Anna Hazare and team not commenting on the latest setback, the issue can also lead to a subdued celebration when Team Anna's anti-Congress campaign seem to have worked its magic in the Hisar by-polls in Haryana. With the campaign indirectly benefitting the BJP candidate, Team Anna is on a moral high after BJP-backed Kuldeep Bishnoi's emphatic win.
