Guj: Software engineer stabs mom 17 times for money

Surat, Oct 16: 35-year-old Sandeep Patel, a software engineer who recently returned from US, stabbed his mother, Champaben. According to sources, Sandeep killed his mother for grabbing money gained after selling their ancestral properties in Gujarat.

Demanding all money from land sale, Sandeep killed his mother brutally after stabbing her in the stomach, chest and neck.

Police officials informed that they inquired Sandeep after noticing his suspicious behaviour. The accused, however, broke down before the investigating team and confessed his crime.

Sandeep was unemployed and used to torture his parents demanding pocket money. Family sources also informed that the deceased had not return the passport of Sandeep who aspired to live a lavish life for which he committed the crime. Local court sent Sandeep for 14-day judicial custody.
