Sun TV to launch kids Channel "Kochu TV"

Chennai, Oct 15: The Sun TV Network will be launching its first 24-hour Malayalam kid's channel "Kochu TV" on Oct 16, 2011.

The target audience of Kochu TV is children in the age group of 4 to 14-years with regional and international flavour with its high mix of programming which includes best cartoons like Jackie Chan adventures, He-Man, pre-school contents etc. Kochu TV would be the only exclusive kids channel where programmes are designed and developed to engage and stimulate kids' imagination during the early formative years.

This new opening will increase the broadcaster stock to 21 channels across four south Indian languages namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The Sun Network is owned by Dayanidhi Maran's brother Kalanithi Maran.
