Koodankulam N-plant: Police beat up 4 handicapped boys

The police also beat up agitators, leaving one of the physically challenged injured on his head.
The protestors who are agitating against the nuclear plant over safety issue also blocked roads stopping at least 700 scientists and over 5000 workers to report for work.
The Kanyakumari Police warned of strict action against those who protested against the power plant in front of the main gate of the power plant.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh earlier in a letter to Chief Minister, Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa wrote that the prospects of availability of this power plant if withdrawn would affect the state's development and industrial plans.
Jayalalithaa, however, snubbed the PM's letter showing her oneness with the people of her state over the issue.
