Telangana
Hyderabad, Oct 14: The Andhra Pradesh state government has decided to act positively over the Telangana issue and the three preconditions put forward by the Telangana Employees Joint Action Committee (JAC), but in return have asked the committee to call off strike so that their demands be considered.

Sources also reveal that the government would communicate with the committee that its demands be agreed that includes the condition that salaries be paid to the employees who are a part of the ongoing Telangana agitation.

“It is for the JAC to decide whether to utilise the opportunity and exit from the stir," said sources.

The JAC has also been invited for its second round of talks on Oct 14 so that their three demands be met. This time, however, the talks will be limited to a few members of the JAC delegation.

According to sources, Ajay Mishra, secretary, General Administration Department (Political) and B Venkateswara Rao, secretary will represent the government in the talks.

The government strategy was finalised after Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met the group of ministers (GoM) who held the first round of talks with JAC leaders on Oct 13.
