No permssion to Advani's rally on railway premises

The permission to hold a meeting as part of Advani's 'Jan Chetna Yatra' was refused by Chandauli District Magistrate Vijay Kumar Tripathi in the absence of clearance by the railways.
"As per the fax message received this morning, the railways has stated that permission for the rally cannot be granted and under these circumstances, the rally at the Railway Training Institute grounds is not possible," the DM said.
Meanwhile, BJP spokesman Vijay Pathak said several election meetings and rallies had been held at the ground in the past and on that basis, the district unit moved an application for holding the rally on October 10 both before the district magistrate and the railways.
Now at the last moment when all preparations have been made, permission is being denied, he said, adding it was not possible for changing the programme.
"The rally would be held at the same place. We are ready to face the consequences," he said.
