DMK dismisses Maran, Karunanidhi's main concern is Kanimozhi
Now it appears like DMK president M Karunanidhi is only concerned about his daughter Kanimozhi's release as he didn't show any sympathy for his grand-nephew, Dayanidhi.
Kanunidhi, who has been non-committal about Dayanidhi since the Aircel controversy, said that he (Dayanidhi) is capable of defending himself. The general public do not consider Dayanidhi as a part of DMK and the cadres are not emotionally attached to the Marans, said a DMK MP.
A former DMK minister was quoted as saying, “Thalaivar is more worried about Kanimozhi"s release and will not show the same sympathy towards the Marans."
Meanwhile TR Baalu, parliamentary party leader described the issue as a 'business transaction' which had nothing to do with politics. “If someone feels aggrieved, he will go to the court to seek legal remedy," he said.
