Andhra CM to announce packages to end T-agitation?

Kiran Kumar Reddy
Hyderabad, Oct 10: The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Kiran Kumar Reddy will make an open appeal to people and also announce a package to the striking workers to end the Telangana agitation, said a close aide of Kiran Kumar Reddy.

“The Chief Minister is likely to make an open appeal to the striking workers and will also announce a package that will be appealing to the workers of both organisations," said the aide.

Sources also reveal that despite earlier efforts to resolve the Telangana strike, it got scampered because of the CM's hesitancy to agree to the demands of the employees for their salaries even during the strike period and also because the AP High Court's order on the no-work-no-pay issue.

However, many still believe that the strike will not end soon, especially after the Telangana agitation has reached a critical stage and can have a direct impact on the centre's decision making process.

Meanwhile, the Telangana agitation has reached its 22nd day with the RTC NMU T-forum vowing to continue their fight for a separate state.
