Sanjeev Bhatt, Modi saga continues; Remand plea adjourned

Narendra Modi and Sanjeev Bhatt
Ahmedabad, Oct 10: Court hearing on the remand plea to take the suspended IPS officer, Sanjeev Bhatt in police custody has been adjourned once again on Monday, Oct 10. The remand plea has been adjourned for a week.

After being disappointed by a session court in Ahmedabad, Gujarat police moved another court which had adjourned the plea. On Monday, it was the second time when the cops' wait for taking the suspended IPS officer into their custody has been prolonged.

Bhatt was arrested for allegedly forcing his fellow-cop to file a fake affidavit against CM Modi, where he stated that police were asked to go easy on rioting Hindus in Gujarat in 2002.

Meanwhile, the association of Gujarat IPS officers passed a resolution on Saturday, Oct 8 and showed their support for the arrested Bhatt. It seems that the saga over Narendra Modi and Bhatt will not end so soon.
